Regular price Sale price £30.00

Description

Take a stroll around our beautiful vineyard on a guided tour and enjoy 3 x 75ml glasses of:

  • The Gregarious Goose - still Bacchus white
  • The Foxy Vixen - still Pinot Noir rosé
  • The Charmed Finch - sparkling Pinot Noir rosé

The tour will last approximately 60 - 90 minutes and will involve a walk in the vineyard on uneven (and sometimes wet) ground, so please come with suitable footwear and clothing.

After your tour, there will be plenty of time to visit the Tasting Den, and you can sit and enjoy your favourite wines by the glass.

We have a coffee and crêpe truck open on Tuesdays to Fridays from 9:30 - 3:00 and every Saturday from 10:00 - 4:00. Dogs are welcome but please keep them on a lead.

Any non drinkers attending a tour will still need to buy a ticket, but we can offer them a choice of soft drinks or apple juice.

Please note, unfortunately our vineyard tours are not suitable for children for health and safety reasons. Children are of course very welcome up at the Tasting Den and Coffee Truck, our nutella crepes and hot chocolates should keep them entertained!

Tour Times

Tours start at 12:00 and 2:00, with a group size of 12.

We can organise private tours outside of our regular times, and cater for larger groups as required. Please contact hello@birchdenvineyards.co.uk to arrange.

Leaving the station, look left and you will see some stairs leading to Station Road. Once you are up the stairs, turn left over the the hump-backed bridge and take a left opposite Lealands Close to find the footpath.

From there, follow the yellow arrow public footpath signs (keeping the railway line on your left). There are three stiles en - route.

spend the day with us

Arrive at Birchden Vineyards and we will take you on a stroll around the beautiful vineyards, lakes and wildflower meadow while enjoying our lovely wines.

After your tour, why not ease into the afternoon up at the Tasting Den with a chilled glass or bottle of your favourite wine and something to eat.

We have covered outdoor seating to sit and enjoy the sunshine (we're optimists!), or the Tasting Den is open for the chillier, rainier days.

Feeling peckish?

There are plenty of tempting food options back at the Tasting Den if you're feeling peckish after your tour. We have a locally-sourced charcuterie board filled with local cheeses and meats from Weald smokery and homemade hummus. We also have vegetarian options or just nibbles, if you prefer.

The Blackbird coffee truck is open on Tuesday to Saturday 9:30 - 3:00 and every Saturday from 10:00 - 4:00 if you fancy a sweet crêpe, savoury galette, cake or snack.

How to walk here

From Groombridge, we are a 35 minute walk through the picturesque High Weald AONB.

There is a public footpath through fields and woodland to reach us, and if you're lucky you might even spot the steam train!

Please don't forget your wellies or sensible walking boots as the ground can be wet and muddy in places.

You can download the walking map to help you find us.

Thank you so much for
hosting our hen do! We had an amazing time, and the bride was over the moon!

Highlights were the cosy Stuge (so Scandi!), Tom's infectious passion about the vineyard, and of course tasting the delicious wine.
