From Friday 5th June, the Tasting Den will be open from 9am until 8pm, giving you even more time to enjoy the Tasting Den 'sun trap' deck, in the golden evening light.

On Friday and Saturday evenings, settle in with a chilled glass of wine, a cold beer, or something sparkling from the vineyard, alongside a specially curated menu of small plates and summer bites designed for relaxed grazing and sharing.

Whether you’re joining us after work, meeting friends for a catch-up, or simply making the most of the long summer evenings, Sundowners at Birchden Vineyards is all about slowing down and enjoying good food and good wine in beautiful surroundings.

Find a sunny spot on the decking and settle in as the sun starts to set over the farm.

No booking needed, simply turn up and enjoy the evening. Children and dogs are of course very welcome.

Our June monthly pop-up is a celebration of exceptional artisan produce from the area.

Join us to meet local makers showcasing a delicious range of handmade treats and locally crafted drinks. Expect artisan gelato, fresh baked goods, cider, sauces and much more. There will be plenty to sample, and it’s the perfect opportunity to pick up a few thoughtful Father’s Day gifts ahead of 21st June.

The Blackbird Café will be open throughout the day serving coffee, crêpes and delicious seasonal lunches, alongside wines from the Tasting Den.

A lovely way to spend a Sunday,  grazing, sipping and discovering the delicious flavours of the local countryside.

Join us for a special ‘lunch and learn’ in our stunning vineyard setting, in collaboration with Dr Helen Monk and Noir Velocity.

 Enjoy a nutritious chef-prepared lunch and inspiring conversation as you explore how seasonal living can support long-term brain health.

 Dr Helen Monk is a Medical Practitioner with a particular interest in brain recovery, anti-ageing and rehabilitation using lifestyle measures. Her programmes use scientific evidence as a basis to improve your brain and overall health and Dr Helen will guide you to incorporate these practices into your everyday life. Guests will also have the opportunity to discover and shop Noir Velocity’s sustainable “Performance Life wear” collection, thoughtfully designed for active, mindful living. Noir Velocity’s chic, eco-friendly clothing combines functionality and comfort, while keeping a stylish aesthetic.

This will be an informative and nourishing afternoon, held in a supportive group environment at Bacchus View on the vineyard.

Are you looking for a fun family activity this month? Join us for a morning of bird spotting around the vineyards and lakes, guided by our resident bird expert Siobhan.

Ticket price includes a hot drink and pastry, bird checklist, and a welcome talk. There are over 48 species on our land, see how many you can spot!

Children are very welcome, we will have a bird watchers checklist and quiz. We do not provide binoculars so please bring your own if you have some.

Chef Tommy will be serving a Moroccan-inspired BBQ buffet at the Blackbird Café with fresh seasonal salads and sides. We’re also delighted to welcome a fantastic line-up of local musicians to soundtrack the evening while you settle in on the decking and enjoy the sunset. (And yes, we’ll have rain cover ready in case the British summer surprises us!)

Wrap up warm as the evening cools, order a glass of something delicious, and spend the night eating, drinking and soaking up the atmosphere.

Join an immersive outdoor oil painting workshop in the vineyard with local artist Gabriel Knollys.

Surrounded by rolling vines, woodland and lakes, you’ll
explore colour, light, texture and pattern while painting in nature.
