The Birchden Partnership LLP, trading as Birchden Vineyards a Partnership incorporated in England with company number OC301718 whose registered office is at North House, 198 High Street, Tonbridge, Kent, TN9 1BE, United Kingdom hereby sets out the terms and conditions for their vineyard experiences.
Vineyard Tours
- If you have booked a vineyard tour and you wish to cancel or re-arrange your booking then please contact us.
- If you notify us more than 15 days prior to your tour date you may cancel or reschedule your booking without charge.
- No refunds will be given for tour bookings that are cancelled or rescheduled less than 15 days prior to your tour date.
- If you have booked a ticket for a tour and you do not arrive for your scheduled booking, the tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.
- If you wish to transfer the name on your booking, please contact us via email to arrange.
- Vineyard tours will start promptly at the advertised time. If you arrive late, the tour may start without you.
- Please note, vineyard tours are only bookable for customers over the age of 18. We operate a “Challenge 25” policy which means that, even if you are over 18 years old, you may be asked for some proof of age on arrival.

Vineyard Picnics
- Picnic bookings may be transferred to an alternative date if you notify us more than 15 days prior to your booked date. However, this will be subject to the availability of alternative dates.
- No refunds will be given for picnics that are cancelled or rescheduled less than 15 days prior to your picnic date.
- If you wish to transfer the name on your booking (there is no charge for this), please contact us via email to arrange.

- Please note, picnics are only bookable for customers over the age of 18. We operate a “Challenge 25” policy which means that, even if you are over 18 years old, you may be asked for some proof of age on arrival.
- Picnic time slots are an hour and a half, and we ask you to leave your designated table after your time slot is up so that other guests may use the space. We also request that you stay within the permitted areas (as indicated by the map and/or events team) during your picnic.
- We do not allow food or drinks to be brought in from outside
- In consideration of the other guests, we ask you not to play music or engage in any overly loud or boisterous behaviour while you are enjoying your picnic.
- Birchden Vineyards is a family home, and we respectfully ask that you are mindful of this.
Private Events
- If you have booked a private event with us, we request a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your chosen date and events package. We will require the final balance to be paid 7 days before the event, at which point we will finalise guest numbers with you. We are not able to refund if there is a decrease in guest numbers (‘no-shows’) on the day.
- Any change of date for the event, after a deposit has been paid, will be subject to availability.
- Private event dates may be rescheduled (at no additional charge) to an alternative date if notification is provided more than 30 days prior to the booked date. However, this will be subject to the availability of alternative dates.
- If a Private Event is cancelled by the customer more than 30 days before the date, a cancellation fee of 50% of the agreed Private Event fee and 100% of any perishable products or non-transferable products/services will be payable.
- If a Private Event is cancelled by the customer less than 30 days before the Private Event date, a cancellation fee equal to the full agreed Private Event fee will be payable.
- If a Private Event is cancelled by reason of force majeure, the private event will be rescheduled without penalty.
- Birchden Vineyards reserves the right to change the location of the event space at its absolute discretion (this may be due to weather or farming factors).
- Birchden Vineyards may at its sole discretion cancel a private event if it has not received payment in accordance with the payment terms.
Cancellation of an event by us
- If we cancel your booking in its entirety, you will be entitled to a full refund for the purchase price, or you will have the option to move your booking to an alternative date. Where relevant tickets will be exchanged or refunded at the price paid for them, but no further compensation will be paid.

Disclaimer: Injury or Loss
- We recommend bringing your valuables with you when on the vineyard, as we cannot accept liability for loss or theft of any items left behind in the Tasting Den.
- Tours will go ahead rain or shine, please bring suitable footwear and clothing for the weather.
- The ground can be uneven to walk on and it becomes wet and muddy at certain times of the year, please be mindful of this and take care when walking around the vineyard.
- Please be aware of your safety and remember that we are a working vineyard, with heavy machinery, and it is important that you keep to the tour route and pay attention to safety signs.
- To the extent permitted by law, Birchden Vineyards shall have no liability to the Customer (or any person claiming under or through the same) for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from or in connection with their visit to Birchden Vineyards.
