Autumn Magic in the Barn

On Autumn Magic days, our barn across from the cafe will be transformed into a cosy autumn gathering place, filled with pumpkins, festoon lights and plenty of seasonal atmosphere. Come in from the autumn air, find a table and settle in with family and friends – No Autumn Magic Mystery Trail ticket is needed to join us in the Barn.

At the heart of it all will be our Bavarian BBQ, serving sizzling bratwurst with all the trimmings, alongside warming seasonal specials, autumn treats, hot drinks, pumpkin-spiced lattes, local beers and Birchden Vineyards wines from the bar.

And there’s plenty for little ones too. Choose a pumpkin to decorate in the barn and toast marshmallows by the fire – all available to purchase separately, so families can create their own Autumn Magic visit even if they’re not joining the ticketed Mystery Trail on the Vineyard.

Come for lunch, stay for a drink, toast a marshmallow and soak up the atmosphere – Autumn Magic in the Barn is open to everyone.

Our Cafe

Alongside all the Autumn Magic fun, our café will be open as usual – and our newly transformed indoor space will be ready for the cooler autumn days.

Settle in around our marble-topped tables for coffee, breakfast or lunch, with Tommy serving our café menu throughout the day, including warming homemade soups, fresh salads, sandwiches and baguettes, crêpes, savoury galettes, cakes and seasonal specials.

Our coffee truck will be serving your usual coffees and drinks, and the café deck will remain open too. So whether you fancy sitting outside or cosying up indoors for lunch, you can enjoy the café just as you normally would.

And on Autumn Magic days, we’ll be staying open until 6pm, giving you even more time to settle in, eat, drink and enjoy your visit.

Our Wines

It wouldn’t be Birchden Vineyards without the wine. Throughout Autumn Magic, we’ll be pouring our Birchden Vineyards wines by the glass and bottle from the bar in the Barn.

You’ll also find a selection of local beers – perfect alongside something hot from the Bavarian BBQ. Find a table beneath the festoon lights, order a glass of wine or a local beer, tuck into the BBQ and settle in for a relaxed autumn afternoon with family and friends.

Birchden Vineyards is just 10 minutes outside Tunbridge Wells and 1 hour from London Bridge or Charing Cross train stations. We are a 35 minute walk from the Groombridge train station through the countryside.

From Tunbridge Wells train station we are a quick 10-minute taxi ride away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
