Autumn has arrived at Birchden Vineyards, bringing plenty to see, experience and taste as the vines turn golden. From birdwatching among the vines and painting workshops to our Spanish-inspired Paella Night and magical Autumn Magic Experience, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Our cosy indoor café is also serving Chef Tommy's autumn menu, with delicious brunches and lunches made using seasonal ingredients — perfect after a crisp autumn walk.

From family days out and autumn events to good food, great wine and cosy afternoons, there are plenty of reasons to visit Birchden Vineyards this autumn.

Are you looking for a fun family activity this month? Join us for a morning of bird spotting around the vineyards and lakes, guided by our resident bird expert Siobhan.

Ticket price includes a hot drink and pastry, bird checklist, and a welcome talk. There are over 48 species on our land, see how many you can spot!

Children are very welcome, we will have a bird watchers checklist and quiz. We do not provide binoculars so please bring your own if you have some.

Autumn brings a special kind of beauty to Birchden Vineyards, with golden vines, harvest colours and breath taking countryside views at every turn.

• Meet the Keeper of the Vineyard and decorate your own Harvest Moon Key to take home.
• Set off through the vineyard to find the three missing pieces of the Key.
• Visit the Charmed Finch's house and search amongst the nests for hidden clues.
• Visit the Gregarious Goose's house and play Hook-a-Duck to continue your quest.
• Stop at the Ugly Duckling’s home to dig, sift and search for more clues.
• Discover Foxy Vixen’s house and help restore the light of the magical Harvest Moon!
• Choose your own pumpkin and decorate it in the Autumn Magic Barn.
• Finish by toasting marshmallows in the Autumn Magic Barn.  

Join an immersive outdoor oil painting workshop in the vineyard with local artist Gabriel Knollys.

Surrounded by rolling vines, woodland and lakes, you’ll explore colour, light, texture and pattern while painting in nature. With Gabriel’s expert, encouraging guidance, you’ll build confidence as you work and leave not only refreshed and inspired, but with a finished painting to take home, something uniquely yours and genuinely worth hanging on the wall.

Wrap up warm, bring your favourite people and settle in. Who says the best parties have to happen after dark?

Join us in the Autumn Barn for a Spanish-inspired afternoon of freshly cooked paella, Birchden Vineyards wines, local beers and music.

Think delicious nibbles, generous pans of paella, local cheeses with our very own honey and a leisurely lunch with friends.

Get into the festive spirit with a lovely afternoon of wreath making at Birchden Vineyards!

Join Lida, the talented florist behind Lida Floral, for a relaxed and creative workshop where you'll learn to make your own beautiful winter wreath.

Whether you're a complete beginner or a dab hand with flowers, it's a lovely opportunity to get creative, enjoy some festive cheer and spend time with friends.

Ticket includes all materials, a drink and delicious nibbles to enjoy as you work.

A relaxed festive cheese & wine pairing evening in our Tasting Den. Hosted by local cheese expert Will Cohen alongside vineyard owner Tom, you’ll enjoy seasonal cheeses from Alsop & Walker, each thoughtfully paired with our wines.
