Lots of you have been asking whether we’ll stay open all year round and the answer is absolutely YES!

Autumn is just around the corner, so in between dodging the September showers we have been making sure our events spaces are enclosed, dry and cosy so you can host a party, enjoy a picnic or join a vineyard tour all year round.

Regardless of what the weather is doing, you can expect rustic luxury, crackling fireplaces and all the usual Birchden events magic.

Our Blackbird Café area will be revamped over the next few weeks with new decking and covered seating. We’re re-launching our café and picnic menus too and from 1st October there will be more hot drinks and winter warmers on offer. Think baked potatoes with plenty of toppings, hearty soups and chai lattes, we can’t wait!  

We’ve had some really exciting news this week, we have been granted permission to renovate our barn and create an indoor café space, which we plan to open in Spring 2026. And, if you’re wondering about the famous Birchden Asparagus, worry not, Farmer Stephen will be back in 2026 in the brand new space selling the beautiful asparagus we all adore.  

If you’re keen to pop in and see us, our opening hours will stay the same throughout the Autumn and Winter.
